So much to do, so little time

These week, we were told to submit our very first outline on our term papers. Well, it was not an easy task since making an outline is hard. You have to make your outline really good because this is where you base your first draft. And, speaking of first draft, I am also starting to do it because it is due this week. Ahh.. So much to do, so little time..

Tired!

This week has been a very exhausting week for me. In our English class, we had to find references for our term paper and our thesis statements were checked by our teacher. But the thing that had exhausted me the most is studying for our Accounting comprehensive exam. I have to study hard because I had a really hard time solving the problems and my quizzes aren't that high. That's why this week I am very very exhausted.

C-5 Road Scandal (Reaction Essay)

Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile said on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 that Senator Manny Villar offered him "help" in return for killing the investigation in the C-5 road scandal.

Honestly, in my opinion, it is not true that Villar offered him "help", in return for killing the investigation. Not that I'm a Manny Villar fan, it is just that we should not judge him just by what Senate President JPE said. There is still no concrete evidence that this is true. Manny Villar also stated that he did not offer "help" because he was confident that the documents, the records, the witnesses and the rules will prove that the C-5 road project was not double-funded, overpriced or rerouted. Why should he be that confident if he is guilty?

Because of this controversy, the Senate was divided and it opened old wounds. The investigation should be hastened in order for the Senate to make appropriate decisions regarding this matter.

Finding References for the Term Paper

Last week, our teacher told us to search for at least 10 sources of information for our term paper. I started by finding some book at the library. When I figured that it wasn't enough, I searched for additional information on the internet. Then, I was able to find 10 sources of information. It was really tiring since I had to read my references to see if I can use them.

Prelims are finally over! Last week was the week of our English 2 prelims. After studying really hard, all of our prelims are finally over. It was kind of tiring last week because we had to study everytime we have a spare time. Now, I can finally loosen up because prelims are over. I am still nervous about the outcome of my test, but I am hoping it will be good.

Ziplining at Nature's Park

Nature's Park is nature park located at Agus 6/7 HEPC, Fuentes, Maria Cristina, Iligan City. It is a project of National Power Corporation Mindanao Generation. It is still in the process of making today. It has a lot of sightings and activities for nature loving people and those who want to explore nature such as hanging bridge, wall climbing, zip lining, crocodile park, white water rafting and a lot more.

On October 2009, our family invited our church mates to Nature's Park to try zip lining and wall climbing. Although it is still not open to the public, my mother was able to ask the staff to assemble the zip lining because she is an employee of the National Power Corporation.

I first tried zip lining. A zip-line consists of a pulley suspended on a cable mounted on an incline. It is designed to enable a user propelled by gravity to traverse from the top to the bottom of the inclined cable, usually made of stainless steel, by holding on or attaching to the freely moving pulley. When it was my turn to try the zipline, I was nervous and at the same time excited. When I traversed form the top to the bottom of the inclined cable, I was in awe of my surroundings. When you look up, you see the infinite sky. When you look left and right, you see the beautiful surroundings. And, when you look down you see the river carried by its current flowing very fast.

After that moment, I traversed back and forth whenever the zip line is free. That day was very memorable for me. It was a very rich, rewarding and breathtaking experience in all my life.
